Mind Games

Made some yummy steel cut oats the other day, doctoring it up with raisins and cinnamon. Later, went to microwave something and this is what I found.

Chemo brain? Old age? Lost my mind? Either way, it's pretty darn funny!

Looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my girls, son-in-laws and grandchildren. We will be cooking the bird and I'm so thankful that nausea is not around to prohibit this.

My mother is one of 12 children. With all the aunts, uncles, inlaws and cousins, we used to rent out the hall at our church in Fresno. What great times and memories I have of those times. Wonderful food, fun playing with the cousins in the church (without anyone telling us to behave) and just seeing everyone. I miss those times. I hope that we are giving our grandchildren some wonderful memories.

Hope your Thanksgiving is a blessed one!

  1. Kind of funny about the microwave, so glad no fire though. Thank the Lord!
And yes, definitely remember the gatherings at the church. I guess could possibly say, those were the good old days, huh.
Have a good day eating and visiting, would be great for you!
    Love, Dawn

  2. OH MY!! The girls thought this was way too funny!! Yes, we/you are making a lot of memories for the girls. They have done nothing but talk about going to Grandma and Grandpa's house this week. We love you and can't wait to spend time with you.

Oh and I will be writing this down in the book!!

  3. Renee, I don't even have "Chemo brain" and I do some dumb things like that!! VERY scary!!! That is too funny!! Please don't put your cat or dog in there, please!!!! Someone chain the pets up!!!

I too, miss the "good ole days!!!" I remember all those huge gatherings, and they were SOOOO much fun!!!! I really do miss them, and also have great memories of those times!! Great memorizes of YOU!!!

Yes, have a super Thanksgiving with your wonderful family that obviously loves you to pieces. But they do need to keep you away from that microwave!!! =0)

    Love you and praying!
